Like I mentioned in my previous entry I decided to try the Casa Torano again and I wasn’t disappointed. For the price and it being a mild cigar, I enjoyed this cigar. It had a beautiful smooth wrapper with very few veins. Not that it really matters to me but, I just like to note the appearance of the cigar. The first taste of the cigar was very tart which smoothed out to a nutty flavor after a few initial puffs. I noticed the ash didn’t hang on for very long like the Cuesta-Rey I had earlier this morning but, the color of the ash was the same as the Cuesta-Rey’s, gray and black. By mid-point of the cigar it had a very nice smooth nutty flavor and at the very end of the nub it didn’t have a hot, bitter and harsh taste like some cigars I have smoked in the past. If you are looking for a good mild inexpensive smoke then the Casa Torano Torpedo is for you.
In honor of the troops I will post a last and final review later. I am not sure what to enjoy next.
‘nuff said for now.
