Happy 4th of July

I want to wish you all a Happy 4th of July and, remember that this day is more than just a day off from work. if it wasn't for the brave Men and Women who served and are serving in our Nation's Military we won't have a day off from work. Well, maybe we would but, I don't think we would have the freedoms that we are enjoying today.

Feel free to write me what you did to celebrate our Nation's Birthday and which cigar did you light up?

I am off to enjoy a BBQ with family, friends and a few dips in a nice cool pool, ending the day with a Davidoff and fireworks.

4th of July Blog Supplemental...

Davidoff Millenium Blend Robusto
Length: 5-1/4"
Ring Gauge: 50
Wrapper: USA/Conn
Binder & Filler: Dominican Republic
Country: Dominican Republic

Ah yes! The Davidoff Millenium Blend in my humble opinion is a truly good cigar. I had the Robusto size and after my first puff on the cigar it had a very strong, flavorful taste that made me shake my head and say, WOW!. But, the second puff it lost that zinger of a hit. I say hit because, that is what it was like. I guess because, I didn't expect it. For some stupid reason I was expecting the cigar to be more mild in its tasting. The wrapper is a beautiful golden brown, the ash seemed to be a little flaky with a dark gray color. Speaking about the ash, one item I took note is how at the bottom of the cigar that meets with the ash while the cigar is burning there was a rather thick black circle. I just found that rather interesting. I enjoyed this cigar after a hearty 4th of July meal consisting of a roasted pork sandwich, brats, salad, and a potato salad. I had a couple of Heinkens during my meal but, while I was enjoying my cigar I opted for a Caribbean Iced Tea which consists of vodka, coconut rum, iced tea and lemon juice. This drink went well with the Davidoff and it was especially nice to have on a sweltering hot day here in California. The Davidoff was magnificent, I wish I could say that about the fireworks show I attend but, I can't. The fireworks show I was able to see was pretty lame but, hey! It was better than nothing.

'nuff said.
